Flag Cup Instructions

Items Needed:

-White Cup
-Red and Blue Construction Paper
-Scissors
-Glue
-Silver Glitter Glue or Star Stickers

Instructions:

-Use the top of the cup to trace out a circle on the red construction paper.
-Then draw a circle approximately 1" larger than than.
-Cut out the larger circle and just slightly inside the inner circle (this will create the rim of our cup).
-Cut out 7 strips of red construction paper approximately 1/2" by the height of the cup.
-Cut out a strip of blue construction paper approximately 1" by 6" (or whatever it takes to go around the top portion of your cup).
-Using the silver glitter glue, draw stars on the blue strip that you just cut in the previous step. If you don't have glitter glue, stickers will work just fine.
-Glue the red strips going up and down the cup. Space them out evenly around the cup. (As with most my crafts, you can use a stapler or tape, but for this project it works best to use glue).

NOTE: If you do not have a white cup, use any color cup and cut out white strips of construction paper just like you did for the red ones. Then after you attach the red strips to the cup, do the same for the white strips.

-Glue the blue strip around the top of the cup, overlapping the red strips you just put on.
-Glue the red circle from the first step around the inner rim on one side. Place this on the top of the cup.
