Scarecrow Plate Instructions

Items Needed:

-Paper Plate
-Yellow, Brown, Black, Green, Orange and Pink Construction Paper
-Wiggly Eyes
-Beige Paint
-Black Marker
-Ribbon (optional)
-Regular and decorative scissors
-Glue

Instructions:

-Paint the back side of the plate beige.
-Cut the yellow construction paper using the decorative scissors in stripes of 1/2 inch by varying lengths. Anywhere from 1 inch to 3 inches. You will need approximately 40.
-Using the template below cut out the hat in the brown construction paper, cut out the pointed flower in the yellow construction paper, cut out the large circle in the black construction paper, cut out the triangle in the orange construction paper, cut out the 2 small circles in the pink construction paper and cut out the leaves in the green construction paper.
-Glue the black circle centered on the yellow flower and glue the 2 leaves to the back of the yellow flower so that they are sticking out when looking at the flower from the side with the black circle. Glue the entire flower on one side of the hat.
-On the side of the hat that doesn't have the flower, glue the yellow stripes sticking out from the top, both lower sides and across the bottom.
-Glue the entire hat on to one edge of the paper plate.
-Glue two wiggly eyes onto the plate just under the yellow strips on the hat. Center the eyes on the plate.
-Just under the eyes, glue the orange triangle for the nose.
-Using the marker, draw 2 lines above the wiggly eyes making eye brows. And just under the orange triangle, draw a smile with lines at either end.
-Glue to two pink circles to either end of the smile.
-this step is optional - using the ribbon, make a bow and glue it centered on the bottom edge of the plate.
